Plot:A group of young people head to Ibiza for the holiday of a lifetime – all the sun, sea, and sex, they can handle. If only there wasn’t a zombie outbreak getting in the way (IMDB)

I’ve been watching a lot of zombie movies recently and I came across this one of Shudder and decided to give it a shot, I thought to myself how bad can it really be? Well lets just say I was very close to turning this one off and watching something else but I didn’t do that because I foolishly thought that it might get better, I was so very wrong. I thought this might be one of those zombie movies that would be so bad that its actually kinda good but that is definitely not the case here, its just all bad.

lets start with the plot which is was lacking, it felt like nothing happened throughout this entire movie, it was so boring. theres a kinda love story that happens which again is boring because there is no chemistry between the two characters. Then there’s the “villain” of the film who doesn’t really do anything and just ends up accidentally shooting himself in the face when trying to light a cigerette, which made it feel like the writer didn’t know how to end that plot point. overall the plot of this film was just a mess. Also with films like this I at least expect a few interesting zombie kills but we didn’t even get that, it honestly felt like these zombies were not threat at all.

Another major problem I had with this film were the characters and how unrealistic their reactions to events were. for example the main character, Alex, his sister turns into a zombie and he doesn’t seem to care at all in-fact non of them do even when his best friend has to be left behind the other characters don’t care at all, it felt like it was supposed to be an emotional scene but it just felt awkward to watch. For me personally I just couldn’t care about these characters, none of them were likeable or memorable.

Overall I’m finding it hard to say anything good about this film, its safe to say I would not recommend this one. From the boring plot to the clearly terrible effects and zombies don’t waste your time , it brings nothing new to the genre and just makes you wish you were watching something else.
