Ranked: Scream 1-4

Scream is by far one of my favourite horror franchises and ive watched the films multiple times now. Also this is my opinion feel free to disagree

  1. Scream 3

Although I still enjoyed this film I find it to be the weakest out of all of them. I wasn’t a big fan of the plot (which also had some holes in it), and the voice changer thing was such a cheap plot device which is so unrealistic it annoyed me throughout the film. However that being said I enjoyed seeing Sydney and how strong she becomes especially towards the end of the film.

  1. Scream 4

I know a lot of people have mixed feeling on this film but I actually enjoyed this one, it felt more fresh and I like the addition of the modern technology the killers used. This was a much-needed update for the franchise especially after the disappointment of the third film. I also really liked the characters, especially Kirby, I think she was my favourite. All that being said this film does still have its flaws, like trying really hard to make it look like the boyfriend when everyone knew that is wasn’t him along with a few other things. Overall, I had a fun time watching this film and thought it was a good addition to the franchise.

  1. Scream 2

This was a solid sequel with a killer who actually had a good reason for wanting Sydney dead and I was actually surprised at who one of the killers was which is probably one of the only times I have been. Although this film did feel repetitive in some places, like Gale and Dewys relationship and making it look like it was the boyfriend again.
